OUR CARIBBEAN: Caricom’s thinking on migration

THE PRESIDENT of Guyana, Bharrat Jagdeo, said in Georgetown earlier this week that free intra-regional movement of Caribbean Community nationals was an “essential element” of CARICOM’s Single Market and Economy (CSME).
And so it is. This much emerged as a consensus of Heads of Government at their recent summit in Guyana that received information on a mandated audit on readiness-arrangements for the CSME.
